Valencia Basket has already outlined its roadmap for the preseason of its women's first team ahead of the 2025-26 season. The “taronja” squad will play five preseason games before facing their first official game of the new campaign, which will be the semifinal of the first title at stake — the 2025 LF Endesa Supercup, scheduled for September 27 and 28 in Huesca.

The players will begin arriving in Valencia over the coming week, where they will undergo the traditional medical, physiotherapy, and physical fitness checks at the Club’s official medical provider, Hospital Quirónsalud Valencia. The first on-court training session under Rubén Burgos is scheduled for Monday, August 18.

The team will have two and a half weeks of preparation before facing their first preseason matchups. The first game will take place on Wednesday, September 3, in the 3rd Ciutat de Tarragona Basketball Trophy against Joventut Badalona at 8:00 PM. Admission to the Palau d’Esports Catalunya will be free and open to the public without prior reservation.

A week later, Valencia Basket will travel to Athens to take part in a friendly tournament from September 11 to 14. The host team, Athinaikos Qualco WBC, which will compete in the EuroCup Women this season and has revamped its roster — including former “taronja” player Robin Parks — is organizing the tournament, which will feature three EuroLeague Women teams: Cimsa CBK Mersin (runners-up), VBW Gdynia, and Valencia Basket.

Rubén Burgos’s squad will kick off their participation against the Polish team VBW Gdynia on Friday, September 12 at 5:00 PM, face the hosts on Saturday, September 13 at 4:00 PM, and close against the Turkish team CBK Mersin on Sunday, September 14 at 1:30 PM.

Before the start of official competition, the “taronja” team will play one final preseason game in Paterna against Movistar Estudiantes on Sunday, September 21 at 12:30 PM. One week later, Rubén Burgos's team will officially debut in the LF Endesa Supercup.
